We want to introduce you to a pencil!
Here’s how it works: once you’ve sharpened the pencil to an unusable length, you can plant it in a flowerpot with drainage, or out in the garden, and you’ll soon have non-GMO, high quality and easy to grow flowers, herbs or vegetables. The seed pot will sprout into basil. The pencil stub then becomes a plant tag and will eventually decompose if buried.
Pencils have government-approved seeds of different plants (with seed name on each pen and pencil) with specified expiry dates contained in a water-soluble seed capsule.
Whatever the occasion, once people realize they can plant pencils to grow into fragrant herbs, luscious flowers or even fresh vegetables, it’s sure to bring a smile and start a conversation.
